1. MANAGER - COMMUNITY RELATIONS Job Title: Manager - Community Relations (1 Post) Job Reference Number: GDC/CS/HRM/CR/01/2025 Terms of Employment: 5 Year Contract Renewable subject to Performance Job Grade: GDC3 Department: Community Relations Reporting to: General Manager - Business Development a) Job Summary The job holder is responsible for management of the community relations and other stakeholder engagements of the Company b) Job Specifications Duties and responsibilities will entail: - i. Providing technical leadership teams in the department to enable them to develop, implement and evaluate strategic management plans and budgets aimed at improving performance and meeting set targets ii. Coordinating departmental planning, budgeting and procurement plans iii. Coordinating implementation of the Company’s performance framework on Community Relations management iv. Monitoring and evaluating implementation of Community management strategies and programs v. Overseeing stakeholder management, handling Community queries and relaying community issues to top management for redress vi. Facilitating capacity building of staff within the department c) Person Specifications i. A minimum of twelve (12) years of work experience four (4) of which must have been in a managerial role ii. Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: - Public Relations, Community Development, Journalism and Mass Communication, Social Sciences, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution iii. Master’s degree in any of the following disciplines: - Public Relations, Community Development, Journalism and Mass Communication, Social Sciences or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution iv. Management course lasting not less than four (4) weeks v. Professional certification in a relevant field vi. Membership of PRSK, MSK any relevant professional body/institute vii. Proficiency in computer applications viii. Fulfilled the requirements of chapter six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya, 20101 d) Key Competencies and Skills i. Negotiation ii. Team player iii.
