Terms of Employment: Five (5) Year Contract, Renewable subject to Performance
Job Grade: GDC3
Department: Project Management
Reporting to: General Manager – Business Development
Salary Range: KES 220,000.00 – 330,000.00

a)            Job Description

Duties and responsibilities of a manager will entail:

     i.        Aligning departmental strategic goals and objectives with the company’s strategic goals and objectives and ensure implementation for achievement of the company’s mandate.

    ii.        Coordination of project activities (Internal Coordination).

  iii.        External coordination (Liaison role and reports to external parties such as financiers, sectoral ministries, project contractors/consultants).

  iv.        Project Monitoring and Evaluation

    v.        Enforcing systems and standards, policies, and procedures that will ensure the delivery of the training function and consultancies to clients in the region.

  vi.        Development of project execution schedule and timelines.

 vii.        Contracts Management

viii.        Preparation and Maintenance of project information, manuals, and records.

  ix.        Setting departmental performance targets and work plans in line with the department’s performance targets and ensuring their achievement.

    x.        Development and monitoring of the department’s annual budget and procurement plan and monitor for

b)              Person Specification

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have: -

     i.        A minimum of twelve (12) years of relevant work experience, four (4) years of which should have in a management role.

    ii.        Master’s Degree in a relevant field from a recognized institution

  iii.        Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following Engineering fields: - Mechanical, Civil, Electrical and Electronics, Agricultural, Mining Engineering, Energy/Geothermal/ Drilling Technology, or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.

  iv.        Management course lasting not more than four (4) weeks.

    v.        Registered Professional by Engineers Board of Kenya/ Kenya Engineering Technology Registration Board or equivalent

  vi.        Proficiency in computer applications

 vii.        Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter 6 of the constitution of Kenya.
